Why Go: Ten percent of your total order will be donated to Holy Cross High School. Enjoy a Friday night out with the family, while performing a charitable act.

Where/When: . On Saturday, from noon to 3 p.m.

Why Go: From hay rides and a pumpkin patch to crafts and a costume contest, this is the ultimate pre-Halloween celebration. Just think, the kids will get more use out of their costumes!

Where/When: . On Saturday, at 12:30 p.m.

Why Go: Along with a glass painting workshop, participants will get a live musical performance, all honoring Italian heritage.

Pricing: Free. First come, first served.

Where/When: Alley Pond Environmental Center. On Saturday, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Why Go: The family will learn about the best techniques surrounding stargazing, including how to properly use binoculars and telescopes (bring your own). Star maps and astronomer provided!

Pricing: Members, $10; Nonmembers, $14; Kids (12 and younger) $8
