Where/When: Bayside Historical Society, in . On Friday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., or Saturday or Sunday, from noon to 4 p.m.

Why Go: The new exhibit will feature photography and artwork surrounding 9/11, as well as magazines and news clippings. There will also be a panel in place for visitors to share their own memories as well.

Pricing: $3 suggested donation

 


Where/When: Flushing Public Library, 41-17 Main Street. On Saturday, at 2 p.m.

Why Go: Timmy Love & the Reflex Band will be covering songs by such famous artists as Bob Marley, Sean Paul and Maxi Priest, among many more, during this free concert.

Pricing: Free

 


Where/When: 127 Middle Neck Road, in Port Washington. On Saturday or Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Why Go: The whole family will enjoy all that awaits at this medieval event. From being an observer and becoming a participant of the archery event to singers, dancers and a puppet show, there is tons going on to entertain everyone.

Pricing: Adults, $12; Children 4-12, $6; Under 4, free

 


Where/When: . On Saturday, from noon to 3 p.m.

Why Go: Including rides, games and more, this is a great way for the kids to put a close to the summer vacation, while welcoming a new school year.

Pricing: Free

 


Where/When: At the intersection of Bell Boulevard and the Horace Harding Expressway. On Sunday, at 7 p.m.

Why Go: This is a special way for the family to honor all those that have passed 10 years ago on 9/11. This solemn event will feature a number of guests, from firefighters and activists to community leaders and government officials.
