Enjoy a fun evening of square dancing at Alley Pond Environmental Center with your family and friends. Learn classic dance moves such as the Do-Si-Do, Promenade and Swing-Your-Partner. All experience levels, from beginner to advanced, welcomed. Pre-registration required.

Bring your family to the Bayside Public Library and explore different instruments used in an orchestra. Hear live demonstrations, see a multimedia presentation and touch samples. In this two-part series, music director Constantine Kitsopoulos will focus on instruments in the string family such as the violin, viola, cello and bass.

Make your own jewelry in this hands-on family friendly jewelry workshop. Learn how to make peyote stitches with zip-ups to form a bangle bracelet or a necklace with right-angle weave stitching. Bring a vintage or accent piece from home to incorporate into your design. Beginners to intermediate are welcome.

Gregory Popovich Comedy Pet Theatre

Gregory Popovich has appeared on the “Tonight Show,” “The Late Show" with David Letterman, and “America’s Got Talent.” He is now coming to Queens. His pet theater show is a blend of comedy, juggling and pet performances.
