Drop by the second part of last weekend’s photography program in which children are introduced to the basics of composition and nature photography using disposable cameras. In this class, the children will create frames to mount the pictures they took from last week’s class.

Children will learn about the different kinds of homes animals make for themselves and how they go about building these habitats using materials from the forest. Program includes live animals, a craft, a snack and hike in search of nests, burrows and tree holes (weather permitting)

Clifford the Big Red Dog Visits Bayside
Barnes and Noble Bay Terrace: 23-80 Bell Blvd, Bayside

Your kids will have the opportunity to meet Clifford as you join the staff of Barnes and Noble for a special story time. A take home activity sheet will also be provided for all kids.

Coad Canada Puppets – There’s A Dinosaur In The Closet

Show description: Darryl sneaks a "pet" rock into his cluttered room. The rock hatches, revealing a tiny, but very hungry, dinosaur. This comedic tale provides a lesson or two about being responsible. The show is the winner of the UNIMA Citation of Excellence in the Art of Puppetry.

Enjoy this live puppet show as the Hudson Vegabond Puppets dance their way through two heart-warming children’s stories: “Jemima Puddle-Duck” and “The Story of the Fierce Bad Rabbit.” The show promises a “puppet ballet with astonishing costumes and masks. “
