2. Oktoberfest Charity Dinner

Where/When: Koenig's Restaurant, 86 South Tyson Avenue. Floral Park. On Friday at 7:30 p.m.

Why Go: The night's activities include dancers, music, drinking contests and German cuisine. You'll be able to help a good cause and portions of the proceeds go toward Harboring Hearts' mission.

Where/When: Alley Pond Park Winchester Boulevard and Grand Central Parkway. On Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Why Go: Not only is this a great excuse to get out of bed early, but it's also a great way to volunteer your time and keep a local park clean for everyone to enjoy!

4. Tribute Band Fundraiser for Breast and Ovarian Cancer

Where/When: Walk Street Tavern, 12-18 Jericho Turnpike, New Hyde Park. On Friday, starting at 8:30 p.m.

Why Go: You'll be doing a good deed, as donations and 50/50s will raise money for previvorsandsurvivors.com, and have fun in the process.

Pricing: Drink prices vary. No cover.

Where/When: Along 41st Avenue, between Bell Boulevard and 213th Street. On Sunday.

Why Go: This street fair will feature musical and dance performances, including the renowned voice of Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center Soprano Chen Min.
