1. 3-Pound Murphy Burger Food Challenge_

Where/When: Murphy's Bar & Grill, 234 Old Country Road in Mineola. On Friday, Saturday or Sunday night, until 2 a.m.

Why Go: Make it your own Man Vs. Food night by taking on the challenge. Get your name placed on the Murphy Burger Wall of Fame Plaque by showing off your chomping skills and eating the three-pound signature burger along with one pound of fries, all in one hour.

Pricing: Free, if you complete the challenge.

2. Vinoco Wine & Tapas

Where/When: 147 Mineola Boulevard in Mineola. On Friday or Saturday, before 10 p.m.

Why Go: Try the restaurant's signature dish, Truffled Wild Mushroom Papardelle Pasta. Not a mushroom person? Then, sample one of Vinoco's tapas dishes, along with wine, beer or a cocktail of your choice.

Where/When: Flushing Public Library, lower level auditorium. On Saturday at 2 p.m.

Why Go: This free concert will feature live music of such artists as Bob Marley, Maxi Priest and Sean Paul, to name a few.

Where/When: Queens County Farm Museum, 73-50 Little Neck Parkway. On Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Why Go: View classic motorcycles and sample a variety of foods, listen to local music and take part in hayrides and farmhouse tours.

5. 

Where/When: At the intersection of Bell Boulevard and the Horace Harding Expressway. On Sunday, at 7 p.m.

Why Go: This is a great way to honor the memory of all those who were lost 10 years ago. Bring your own memorial candles. American flags will be provided.
