Get Out: Veterans Day Weekend

Enjoy a great weekend with these fun activities all near your neighborhood.

It’s Veterans Day weekend. We’ll help you honor our nation’s heroes and show gratitude for their service. On Friday, salute our soldiers by attending the annual NYC parade or pen a personal handwritten thank you letter at the Long Island Children’s Museum.

You can also catch a flawless stage performance of “The Glass Menagerie” at Nassau Community College. Then, Lady Luck wants you to make a date with her inside the new Resorts World Casino and rock out to a Veteran's Day tribute band. Afterward, it’s time to hit the slot machines. You might be the next big winner!

Where/When: Parade route begins on Fifth Avenue and 23rd Street and continues to 56th Street, Manhattan, on Friday from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.
