Get Out: Scottish Fest and Hot Rods

Enjoy a great weekend with these fun ideas all near your neighborhood.

Cheerio, summer!

Say goodbye the Scottish way at the Highland games festival, with a bagpipe parade and a caber toss, by men in kilts. You’ll be plaid you came.

If you like cars, the exotic hot-rod show and happy hour at Sugar Dining Den and Social Club will melt your cares away in the summer heat. Or, clown around with a few real clowns at the LICM’s Solo Circus and watch some outrageous juggling acts. Then get serenaded with a special concert for students at Sky View Center while you shop for school supplies. Back-to-school time is almost here.
