Get Out: Parents' Day and Family Fun

Enjoy your weekend with these great ideas all near your neighborhood.

This Sunday is National Parents’ Day. So, we’re sending the entire family on a few adventures.

On Friday, grab a bite and catch a nature flick about the American West at Alley Pond’s Green Café. Then, prepare for an explosion of fun during Family Day at Queensbridge Park. It’s a festival of music and storytellers for one and all.

And summer concerts still rule. Why not stay indoors and rock out to a kid’s Battle of the Bands II? Or, cool off at the Nassau County Museum of Art’s Family Day. So, mosey on down to the Green Café and let’s get started. Heehaw!
