Get Out: Labor Day Weekend

Enjoy a great weekend with these fun ideas all near your neighborhood.

Everybody Samba!

This Labor Day weekend, there’s a party in every direction. New York City is bursting with the biggest Brazilian block party of the year. Behold a vibrant celebration of cultural pride packed with music and dancing. Or, stay closer to home and take a trip to the Science Farmers Market. You’ll learn to experiment with your produce, the natural way.

Let your inspiration take over and capture your summer on canvas by painting like famous abstract artist Willem de Kooning in the Long Island Children’s Museum Garden. And finally, wind down at Alley Pond Park by signing up the kids for a Staycation. Don’t miss a last chance for a summer adventure.
