Get Out: Hot Celebs and Think Pink

Enjoy a great weekend with these fun activities all near your neighborhood.

Can we talk? Queen of comedy Joan Rivers is in town for a night of laughs with her unique brand of humor. A guest appearance by comedian Dick Capri gives you a two-for-one bargain deal. But first, attend a happy hour with celebrity housewife Kelly Bensimon, from The Real Housewives of New York City, for breast cancer awareness month.

Then venture outdoors for a pumpkin party at Alley Pond or play in the corn maze at Queens County Farm Museum. And finally, Hispanic Heritage month continues with a celebration of new world exploration at the New York Hall of Science. This Columbus Day weekend, it’s time to expand your horizons.

Why Go: This classic fairytale magically comes alive with help from an adorable Goldilocks and three cuddly bears. Follow Goldilocks on her unsolicited visit to the bears’ house and meet all the characters after the big finale.

Why Go: Orange you glad it’s pumpkin season? This pumpkin party includes outdoor games, trail walks and live animals.  It’s the perfect way to welcome the crisp fall weather.

Pricing: Members pay $10; nonmembers pay $15

 
Where/When: Sugar Dining Den and Social Club, 246 Voice Road, Carle Place, on Thursday at 8 p.m.

Why Go: The former high-fashion model Kelly Bensimon is the second feisty reality TV housewife to appear at the dinner club. Help her celebrate breast cancer awareness month with a reality-style party. A DJ will be spinning dance music into the late hours.
