Where/When: Douglaston Golf Club. On Saturday.

Why Go: So that you can take advantage of the weather before winter hits.

Pricing: 18 holes before noon costs $47, while afternoon is $38 and twilight is $24

3. Football is Back!

Where/When: Bourbon Street. On Saturday and Sunday afternoon.

Why Go: To see the games you're missing without that Sunday Ticket, wing specials, free buffet during half-time, shots when NY teams score and raffle tickets for upcoming games. What more could you ask for?

4. Brunch, Lunch, or Dinner

Where/When: Donovan's Grill & Tavern. On Friday, Saturday or Sunday.

Why Go: The Bourbon Pecan Belgian Waffles or Classic Eggs Benedict for brunch or the Rustic Chicken Sandwich or Broiled Sole for lunch or dinner. Or, have something off of their Gluten-Free Menu.

Pricing: Entrees range from $11.20 to $25.90.

5. KRAFT Teams Up Five Guys and Feeding America for National Cheeseburger Day

Where/When: Five Guys Famous Burgers and Fries. On Friday or Saturday.

Why Go: Because Kraft will donate a meal to Feeding America every time you stop in Five Guys and visit KraftCheese.com/checkin in observance of Hunger Action Month.
