Where/When: Queens Museum of Art, at 111 Street & 49 Avenue, inside Flushing Meadows Corona Park. On Saturday, from 10:30 a.m. to noon.

Why Go: Because this seminar will actually help you understand all that you wonder when looking at video art. If you don't get it, don't worry; that's what this workshop is for!

Pricing: Free

Where/When: Bayside Historical Society . On Saturday or Sunday, from noon to 4 p.m.

Why Go: You'll get to see all of the tiny artifacts tucked away in the Society's archives.

Pricing: Suggested Donation is $3

Where/When: 41-09 150 Street. On Friday or Saturday night.

Why Go: Great atmosphere, great staff, great outdoor area, great prices. Did I leave anything out? Oh, it's close to home and the LIRR.

Pricing: Drink prices vary, but are economical.

Where/When: . On Sunday at 11 a.m. Prior registration required.

Why Go: This Urban Park Rangers event will have you canoeing in Little Neck Bay in your own water adventure. Not for the faint of heart, this is for experienced canoers only.
