Get Out: Safari Beach Club

A karaoke bar, hookah experience, and the new spot that replaced Johnny Famous are all options.

1. VIP Karaoke

Where/When: Zebra Lounge, 35-06 Farrington Street, in Flushing. On Friday or Saturday, until 4 a.m.

Why Go: You can get your own private room for your group, while food and drink charges come off of the hourly room rate. You can also opt out of a VIP room and just enjoy the lounge, without a cover.

 2. Safari Beach Club

Where/When: 40-09 Bell Boulevard, the former location of Johnny Famous. On Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, until 4 a.m.

Why Go: This new bar features pool tables, multiple TVs, welcoming staff and some enticing drink specials during Happy Hour.

Pricing: No cover, food and drink prices vary

3. Majlis Hookah Lounge & Cafe

Where/When: 248-05 Union Turnpike, in Floral Park. On Saturday or Sunday, until 2 a.m.

Why Go: The lounge offers a large variety of hookah at more than reasonable rates.

Editor's Note: Smoking hookah may be an enjoyable pastime, but be aware that studies show that it puts your health at the same or greater risk than cigarette smoking. The Atlantic reports that a person smoking Hookah for an hour inhales 100-200 times more smoke than they would smoking one cigarette. 

4. Happy Hour

Where/When: . On Friday or Saturday, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Why Go: Enjoy great drink specials during Happy Hour, and stay for the live DJ following shortly after.

Pricing: $3 beers, $5 cocktails

Where/When: 40-11 Bell Boulevard. On Friday or Saturday night.

Why Go: For their new stock of Brooklyn Blast Pale Ale. The food options will also keep your hear content, as you have the opportunity to stick to your diet (minus the beer) with the many menu options.
