Sanitation Crews Attempt to Dig Out Douglaston After Snow Blankets Neighborhood

The sixth snow storm since Thanksgiving blanketed Queens overnight, frosting the still impressive piles of white – okay, gray – stuff  left over from the Christmas weekend blizzard.

These photos, shot around Douglaston Hill around 3 a.m., show city Sanitation crews trying to get ready for the morning cleanup.

What this means for the borough's tertiary streets is anybody’s guess. Snow is also in the forecast for tomorrow and Saturday.
