Douglaston Little Neck Library to Hold E-Books, Sign Language Classes This Month

Take a look at the library's roster of December programs.

The Douglaston Little Neck Library will hold a class on downloading e-books and a sign language course for children this month.

The library, located at 249-01 Northern Blvd., will host Downloading E-Books at 11 a.m. on Dec. 4. Those interested in attending should preregister by calling 718-225-8414.

On Dec. 11 and 18, certified American Sign Language instructor Jacqueline Ciaramella will teach basic signing vocabulary through stories, songs, rhymes and activities for children, ages 3 years and below. The class will begin at 1:30 p.m.

And the Library Friends’ executive board will meet at 10 a.m. on Dec. 19.

The library’s weekly classes this month will include an English conversation class, which will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Dec. 9, 16, 23 and 30. The class will also run on Dec. 5, 12, 19 and 26 at 3:30 p.m.

Knitting and crocheting club will begin at 4 p.m. on Dec. 9, 16, 23 and 30, while Picture Book Time will start at 1:30 p.m. on Dec. 5 and 12.

And the library’s Toddler Time program will begin at 11:30 a.m. on Dec. 6 and 13.
