Douglaston Festival Seeks Artists

Third annual arts event will take place in the Village on Sept. 25.

The third annual Douglaston Village Arts Festival will be held on Sept. 25 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. near the neighborhood's Long Island Rail Road station on 235th Street.

Dorothy Matinale, president of the Douglaston Village Chamber of Commerce, said artists and vendors who are interested in taking part in the festival can contact her office at Station Realty at 718-279-4800.

Attendees will be able to sample local food, check out the work of artists from the community and listen to music.

The festival is sponsored by the chamber of commerce, the Douglaston Little Neck Historical Society, Douglas Manor Association, Udalls Cove Preservation Committee, Friends of the Library and the Douglaston Civic Association.

The rain date for the festival is Oct. 2.
