Community Church to Bless Animals on Oct. 9
House of worship invites Douglaston residents to bring their pets to Sunday service.
will host a Blessing of the Animals at 10:30 a.m. on Oct. 9.
Worshippers will be able to bring their pets to be blessed at the service as part of a celebration for Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals and the environment whose feast day is Oct. 4.
The Community Church is located at 39-50 Douglaston Parkway.
