The Bayside Historical Society will host two upcoming events – one creepy and the other inspiring - at Lawrence Cemetery.
On Nov. 2, the historical society will join the Long Island Seekers Club, whose members will guide participants through a live investigation of paranormal activity.
The event, which runs from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., will include a discussion on the tools and techniques used to investigate the paranormal.
Admission is $8 for historical society members and $10 for nonmembers. Reservations, which are required, can be made by calling 718-352-1548.
On Nov. 9, the historical society will host a performance during which local actors give voice to the individual voices of Bayside’s founding families. The cemetery is the final resting place for the city’s first popularly elected mayor, Cornelius Van Wyke Lawrence, among others.
The event, which is free, begins at 2 p.m.
The Lawrence Cemetery is located at 216th Street and 42nd Avenue in Bayside.
