Bayside Historical Society is Calling All Artists

The BHS wants you to send your artwork on the Throgs Neck Bridge and/or Clearview Expressway for a chance to have it displayed with an upcoming exhibit.

The Bayside Historical Society is looking for artists to submit work inspired by the Throgs Neck Bridge and Clearview Expressway in honor of the 50th anniversary of their construction.

A Bridge to Bayside, a Corridor through Community: The Construction of the Throgs Neck Bridge and Clearview Expressway will open on Sunday, October 23, featuring the affects that the two local transportation resources have had on Bayside.

Artists are being called upon to sumbit their original works of art surrounding the topic at hand, the Throgs Neck Bridge and/or the Clearview Expressway. All submissions will be reviewed and a select number will be chosen, by a BHS appointed committee, to be on display in the Society, at Fort Totten, from the exhibit's opening date through the Spring of 2012.
