Bayside Anglers and Friends Clean Local Shoreline

Fishing around for litter

Tackling shoreline litter, a local fishing club set aside their rods to organize a cleanup of the Little Neck Bay.

About 130 people braved a gray Sunday morning to participate in the 17th annual Bayside Anglers Waterfront Day and 17th Annual Little Neck Bay Shoreline Clean-Up. The project covers the coastline from the Back Bay near Northern Blvd. all the way to Little Bay Park, near Utopia Parkway.

Girl Scout Troup 4069, from Church on the Hill in Flushing, was one group of several that came out to help keep the waterfront clean.
