I’m an Aquarius woman (Jan. 23 1978) and I just entered a relationship with an Aquarius man (Jan. 25 1978) and we have the same 10 planets out of the 12. We also have the same positions and everything else.
We feel like we are made for each other, but some people tell me that we are too much alike for it work. What do the stars say?

Dear Ms. Aquarius,
While it is usually unadvisable to be with the same astrological sign, astrology is not everything.
I know that may come as a shocker to most of the readership, but it’s 100 percent true. Other factors, such as personality, similar values and philosophies, religion, and so forth are also at play. People usually like simplistic answers, but in your case, since you are already astrologically informed, I will dive right into your question.
This may either be the perfect union or the most dysfunctional combination. Aquarius nature, as I am sure you are already aware, is stubborn, creative, dynamic, friendly, and altruistic. As both of you are born within days of each other, then I can only presume that you share these traits.
On the upside, you will have an innate awareness of the other person’s needs. On the downside, you may be so alike that it will be like living with a mirror every step of the way. You will read each other so well, which could create a lot of warmth between two individuals who are, in most cases, emotionally detached.
This could be lovely for a period of time, but if you don’t handle your dynamism with ease, it could become too confining. Neither of you is jealous nor possessive, but in relationships, there is usually one dominant force. Both of you will stick to your nature, but in doing so, you will have to learn to allow the other person to fly once in a while, knowing that your home is with each other. Don't allow the other to stray too much, or you won't have a home to come back to.
The fact that both of you are the same age and not in your twenties is a blessing. Most Aquarius women and men have to go through a series of rocky relationships before delving into their natures. Neither likes to be dominated or controlled, and in your earlier years, you have both been with partners who were ill-suited.
You are mature enough to leave the garbage of the past where it belongs. Both of you have learned how you operate in relationships, which gives you a lot of momentum and hope for your relationship. You will not compromise yourselves but will find a harmony in co-existing and working on spiritual and creative endeavors together. You could help each other surpass your potentials.
This doesn’t mean that it will be easy or always a happy affair. You and your new love have an awareness that most couples lack. Give space to breath and share along the way.
