Alternate Side Parking Suspended for Yom Kippur

Parking meters will remain in effect.

Alternate side parking has been suspended for Sept. 14 in observance of Yom Kippur.

There will be no street cleaning, so it will not be necessary for car owners in the five boroughs to move their vehicles. Parking meters will remain in effect on the holiday.

Yom Kippur, which is also known as the Day of Atonement, is considered the holiest day of the year among the Jewish high holidays.
