Also on Monday, Alley Pond Environmental Center will offer its Wee Sprouts and Toddler Time programs, while the Douglaston Little Neck Library will hold its weekly knitting and crocheting class.

The Lutheran School of Flushing and Bayside will have registration for its gifted and talented as well as kindergarten programs on Monday.

There will be an AA meeting Wednesday at 7:45 p.m. at the Community Church of Douglaston.

There will be an open house for Flushing’s World Journalism Preparatory High School on Wednesday evening.

Queensborough Community College will host Karaoke at the Movies with “The Lion King” on Saturday. The Bayside Historical Society will hold its annual holiday party Saturday evening.

The Samuel Field Y will host a Chanukah festival on Sunday. Attendees should bring a donation of nonperishable food items.

Announcements

The Douglaston Green Market is now open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sundays in the traffic circle of the Long Island Rail Road's Douglaston station.

The National Art League’s 82nd Annual Members Show is currently on display at the Douglaston gallery.

Community Board 11 will next meet on Dec. 3 at 7:30 p.m. at Bayside’s M.S. 158. The board will hold public hearings on two variances and an extension of an existing property.
