Events

Community Board 11 will meet Monday at 7:30 p.m. at M.S. 158. The board will discuss airplane noise over Bayside and Douglaston.

Also on Monday, Alley Pond Environmental Center will offer its Wee Sprouts and Toddler Time programs, while the Douglaston Little Neck Library will hold its weekly knitting and crocheting class.

Universal pre-kindergarten will begin Monday and run every day of the week after school at the Community Church of Douglaston.

The Samuel Field Y will host a book fair on Tuesday at Bay Terrace’s Barnes and Noble to raise money for its programs. The Bayside Historical Society will host art classes at The Castle on Tuesday.

There will be an AA meeting Wednesday at 7:45 p.m. at the Community Church of Douglaston.

A Papazzio bartender will donate all her tips earned Wednesday to a group that provides clean water to impoverished nations.

Bayside’s Oasis Day Camp will host an information session on Saturday. The Little Neck Jewish Center will hold its annual Israel Bond Breakfast on Sunday.

Announcements

Mobile service for the Bayside Library, located at 214-20 Northern Blvd., is currently in service. The library will be closed for a few months to allow for a renovation.
