A Scorpio on a Mission for Mrs. Right

How a perfectionist can fall in love.

Dear Yael,

I am a Scorpio guy born November 2, 1983 from Los Angeles at 9:28 AM.  I have been searching the world for my other half and I haven’t found the right women.  I have been engaged three times; all of the engagements did not lead to marriage.  I am sensitive, and I have a strong need for an immediate family and social intimacy.  Please tell me what qualities I should look for in my partner based on my chart that you read.

Advice Seeker's Chart:  Ascendant Sagittarius, Sun Scorpio, Moon Libra, Mercury Scorpio, Venus Virgo, Mars Virgo, and Jupiter Sagittarius.

The Ascendant describes your outward appearance, behavior, and mannerisms.  The Sun reflects your core personality and the qualities of your ego.  The Moon governs needs, emotions, moods, and habits; Mars rules defense mechanisms and thought processes; Mercury governs communication; and Venus rules the world of love, pleasure, and desires.

Scorpios are by far one of the most sensitive and emotional of the signs.  In your case, it is interesting to note that your Moon sign is Libra, thus indicating a logical twist.

With a Sagittarius rising, it is no surprise that you have been engaged thrice to no avail.  You are not searching for the ordinary woman.  In fact, although much of you craves stability, comfort and familiarity, due to your Scorpio and Virgo elements, you are also attracted to the opposite.  Your Sagittarius and Libra elements want excitement, passion, surprises, and long trips with your loved one.  Thus, you are looking for the unconventionally conventional, the dream within a dream, and the realistic fantasy.  You want the chocolate minus the calories and a gorgeous beach without the blazing sun. Ever heard of an umbrella?

Sounds right?  Who will you finally choose?  Maybe you can have both…

Many times you may feel unfulfilled since your personality demands an exemplary woman by your side.  You get bored often and throw your hands up in the air when she lacks either emotional intelligence or intellectual capacity. By now you probably realize that there is no ideal, no perfect woman, only the one who is perfect for you.

Let’s look at this logically.  If it is possible that a person such as yourself came into this world, then most likely, there is another individual of the opposite sex who has exactly what you need.  Your complimentary opposite. And since you are a walking dichotomy, you probably need the same in your partner.

Let’s deduce the following. You have a Sagittarius rising. Thus, you are dualistic, intellectual, impulsive, extroverted, passionate and extreme.  You are attracted to all that is philosophical and metaphysical.  You fall in and out of love quickly.  You require a mate who holds on to you but at the same time sets you free. A woman with a Leo, Aries, Gemini, Libra, or Aquarius ascendant can provide this.

You already may know that you are attracted to more traditional sun signs such as Cancer, Pisces, Capricorn, Taurus, and Virgo but since you mentioned family life and intimacy, I’m betting that you find yourself more at ease with your fellow water signs. Just make sure she can keep up with you intellectually since you are attracted to the brain more than most people.

Your Venus and Mars are in Virgo, so my hunch is that you are a perfectionist in love and very critical in your mind.  You are best suited with a nurturing and strong woman who will let you be as you are and will not let it ruin her day.  A woman who is half water and half air or fire would be great for you.  I also noticed that your Venus Is in the 9th House.  Due to its position, you may feel as if you are never satisfied. A long time ago, a wise woman said, “Do you want to know the secret to happiness?  Wanting what you already have.”

I urge you to weigh the pros and cons in the future and once you finally decide to commit, ask yourself how your life would be without her by your side.  Perhaps you will find your answer there.

All the best,

Yael
