It's mid-January, Bayside. Are you still keeping your resolution? We hope.

1. We had another blizzard, and this one went off without a hitch. Mayor Mike Bloomberg did declare a "Weather Emergency," warning that cars stuck in the middle of the road would be t.

2. It was lifted the next day. Most agreed the streets were . In fact, the main complaints this time about snow clearing were about noisy plows coming up and down streets too much overnight.

4. The Bayside Historical Society is  to share their memories of life in Bay Terrace before the building of the Throgs Neck Bridge and the Clearview Expressway. 

5. Captain Kevin Cassidy and Firefighter James Ryan, who succumbed to 9/11 rescue related health issued, were honored in Bayside this week. Our own Victor Mimoni rendered  of the event. Patch extends our sincerest gratitude to their families for their service.
