Franklin Hospital Invites Community to Celebrate Its 50th Anniversary

Catherine Hottendorf, Executive Director of Franklin Hospital, invites members of the community as well as the hospital’s staff and volunteers to attend Franklin Hospital’s “Pure Gold” dinner dance on October 5, 2013 at 6:30 p.m. at the Woodmere Country Club on Meadow Drive in Woodmere.

The dinner dance marks Franklin Hospital’s 50th anniversary as a community hospital serving Nassau and Queens counties. Longtime supporters and friends Gary and Marlene Walter will be honored. Mr. Walter is currently a member of the North Shore-LIJ Health System’s Board of Trustees and had served as chairman of Franklin’s Community Advisory Board for many years. Also being honored at the celebration are Dr. Shashi Shah and his wife Dr. Pushpa Shah. Dr. Shashi Shah has been a member of Franklin’s medical staff for the past 35 years and is currently the President of the Medical Executive Committee.

All of the money raised as a result of this dinner dance will benefit the hospital’s emergency department, which has more than 42,000 emergency visits each year. Tickets to the dinner dance are $300.
