Beauty Bash highlights include: a complimentary expert bra fitting, mini-manicures and nail consultations, mini-brow makeovers, makeup makeovers, mini-facials, all from experts in their fields; a full body and skin consultation by a leading NYC dermatologist, one-on-one consultations from leading plastic surgeons. Some notable partners include Lancome celeb makeup artist, Sandy Linter, and nail guru, Essie. Featuring a fashion show from rising star and fashion designer MarlaWynne, and spectacular giveaways throughout the day, including Tiana B dresses, Clever Carriage handbags, $3,500 worth of non-invasive beauty procedures, Clarisonic skin cleansing devices, essie polishes. The local, fresh fruit and vegetable market was a worthwhile addition to Douglaston. Obviously, itRead More did not receive the support of the community, at least not enough to make it a successful venture. This is sad. Every Sunday, rain or shine, I would stop at the market and purchase something. My favorite was the bakery stand. Often, when I stopped in the afternoon I would get two FREE French breads with my purchase. Parking was never a problem. The vendors where friendly and very informative. It was a perfect setting for the picturesque nature of this community. Too bad it is not returning.

No specific reason was given other than this was at the initiative of the merchants or the market's organizers. And this..., just as we were beginning to enjoy the Long Island wines and the $34 per pound skirt steak, ordered two months in advance.
