Wednesday: Sign Language Class, Kids' Activities at Local Libraries

The Douglaston Little Neck Library, located at 249-01 Northern Blvd., will host a sign language program for children, ages 3 years and below, at 1:30 p.m. 

During the class, certified American Sign Language instructor Jacqueline Ciaramella will teach basic signing vocabulary through stories, songs, rhymes and other activities.

And the Bayside Library, located at 214-20 Northern Blvd., will offer its Mother Goose Time and Toddler Time programs today.

The former, which is aimed at children between the ages of 18 months and 2 1/2 years, includes nursery rhymes, finger plays, play time and songs. It begins at 11 a.m.

The latter, which is aimed at kids between the ages of 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 years, includes stories, songs, finger plays and rhymes. The class begins at 1:30 p.m.
