Wednesday: Nook Instruction at Barnes & Noble, Monthly Jazz Jam

Bay Terrace's Barnes & Noble, located at 23-80 Bell Blvd., is hosting Get to Know Your Nook today at 7 p.m.
Attendees will be able to learn how to use Nook tablets and explore some of the available apps.
Flushing Town Hall, located at 137-35 Northern Blvd., is holding its monthly jazz jam at 7 p.m. The entrance fee is $10, but the event is free for musicians, students and members.
Professional jazz musicians, graduate students and educators are welcome to join in the jazz jam with house band Queens Jazz OverGround or just listen.
The National Art League, located at 44-21 Douglaston Parkway, is offering several classes today.
The gallery is holding its watercolor painting class from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., mixed media from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., watercolor from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. and oil painting from 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.
