Wednesday: Life Transitions Workshop, Children's Program at Barnes & Noble

The Samuel Field Y, located at 58-20 Little Neck Parkway, will host a Designing Life Transitions Workshop at 11:30 a.m.

The event will offer a model for successfully planning life, career and personal transitions.

Bay Terrace's Barnes & Noble, located at 23-80 Bell Blvd., will offer a children's program titled What's Your Favorite Animal? at 11 a.m.

The event will include a story, crafts and other activities.

And the Bayside Library, located at 214-20 Northern Blvd., will offer Mother Goose Time at 11 a.m. and Toddler Time at 1:30 p.m.

The former, which is meant for children between the ages of 18 and 30 months, includes songs, story time, nursery rhymes and finger plays. The latter, which is aimed at children between the ages of 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 years, includes stories, singing, finger plays and nursery rhymes.
