Wednesday: Divine Wisdom's Fall Carnival, Bird Club's Reptile Discussion
And the Oakland Little Neck Jewish Center will host a Sukkot service and dinner this evening.
The Queens County Bird Club will hold a discussion of reptile ecology at Douglaston’s Alley Pond Environmental Center, located at 228-06 Northern Blvd., at 8 p.m.
The event will cover declining reptile and amphibian populations as ecological issues affecting habitats, migration and nesting behavior as well as predation, genetics and diseases.
There will be a Sukkot service and dinner at 7 p.m. at the Oakland Little Neck Jewish Center, located at 49-10 Little Neck Parkway. To make a reservation, call 718-224-0404.
And Douglaston's Divine Wisdom Academy, located at 45-14 245th St., will hold its annual fall carnival in its parking lot this evening from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
The event includes rides, games, vendors and food. A $25 ticket can be purchased that allows admission to all rides.
