Tuesday: Chair Yoga, Center for Women of NY Meeting
And the National Art League is offering oil painting and figure drawing classes today.
The Center for the Women of New York will hold a general meeting today at Queensborough Hall, located at 120-55 Queens Blvd., room 213, at 7 p.m.
The meeting will include a presentation by Health First as well as a discussion on the Affordable Care Act. The center is operated by Douglaston civic leader Ann Jawin.
The National Art League's class schedule for today includes oil painting and figure drawing. The gallery is located at 44-21 Douglaston Parkway.
And the Bayside Library, located at 214-20 Northern Blvd., is offering an Introduction to Chair Yoga at 1 p.m.
During the class, Irene Failenbogen will teach techniques and exercises that participants can practice while seat. There's no need to bring a mat to the class, but attendees should wear workout clothing and sneakers. Preregistration is required.
