Tuesday: Candidates Forum at Fort Totten, Yoga Babies

And the Bayside Library is offering its needlework club this afternoon.

The Bayside Historical Society is hosting an election forum today at 7 p.m. at the group’s headquarters in the castle at Fort Totten, located at 208 Totten Ave. in Bayside.

Queens borough president candidates Melinda Katz and Tony Arcabascio as well as Paul Vallone and Dennis Saffran, both of whom are vying for Councilman Dan Halloran’s seat, are expected to attend.

The Queens Dance Project, located at 214-26 41st Ave. in Bayside, will host yoga babies for infants, ages 6 months to one year, at 10 a.m.

The class will repeat for children, ages 1 to 2 years, at 11 a.m.

The Bayside Library, located at 214-20 Northern Blvd., will hold its needlework club at 4 p.m.

The event is aimed at adults and youths, ages 10 years and above. Attendees will be able to share needlework designs and projects. Participants should bring their own yarn.
