Tuesday: 'Bugs of Blackwood' at the Library, Movie at Crocheron Park

There will be a free screening of 'Big Miracle' tonight.

The Douglaston Little Neck Library will host “The Bugs of Blackwood,” a storytelling program for children that combines a humorous show with scientific experiments. It will be held today from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The library is located at 249-01 Northern Blvd. in Little Neck.

There will be a free movie screening of “Big Miracle,” which tells the tale of a couple attempting to save a family of whales, at Crocheron Park, located at 35th Avenue and the Cross Island Parkway. The film begins at 8 p.m.

The National Art League’s Tuesday classes include oil painting from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and soft pastel and oil from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The gallery is located at 44-21 Douglaston Parkway.
