Thursday: Educators' Open House, Workshop on How to Accept an Offer

The Bayside Library, located at 214-20 Northern Blvd., is offering homework help to local youths today at 3:30 p.m.
Teen volunteers will help local children in kindergarten through sixth grade with their school assignments.
Bay Terrace's Barnes & Noble, located at 23-80 Bell Blvd., is holding an educators' open house at 3:30 p.m.
During the event, teachers in pre-kindergarten through 12th grade will be able to learn about fundraising and purchasing discounts. There will also be free giveaways and a chance to win a Nook or a $500 gift card.
The Samuel Field Y, located at 58-20 Little Neck Parkway, will host a workshop titled Closing the Deal: Preparation for Offers and Negotiations from 10:30 a.m. to noon.
The event will cover all aspects of receiving, evaluating and accepting an offer as well as provide options for negotiating the best deal.
