Thursday: CDEC 26 Meeting, English Conversation Class at the Library

The Douglaston Little Neck Library, located at 249-01 Northern Blvd., is offering an English conversation class today at 3:30 p.m.

Attendees will be able to improve their English skills through talking about holidays, cooking, shopping, art music, family and other topics of interest. There will be an emphasis on improving vocabulary, pronunciation and grammar. For more information, call 718-225-8414.

Community District Education Council 26 will hold its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. at M.S. 67, located at 51-60 Marathon Parkway in Little Neck.

The meeting will include a presentation on a new kindergarten application process that will begin in January. The process will allow parents to apply online as opposed to only being able to do so over the phone or in-person.
