Thursday: A Day at the Races, District 25 Middle Schools Open House
And Queens Quiet Skies will hold a discussion on the ongoing airplane noise over northeast Queens.
The Bayside Business Association, Bayside Kiwanis and Bayside Historical Society will host "A Day at the Races" at the Belmont Racetrack's Turf and Field Club.
The event, which honors former state Sen. Frank Padavan, will cost $75 per person and include a lunch buffet and nine races.
The Department of Education will hold an open house for District 25 middle schools at J.H.S. 185, located at 147-26 25th Drive in Flushing, at 5:30 p.m.
Queens Quiet Skies will also hold a discussion on the ongoing airplane noise that has been disturbing residents of northeast Queens at 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 17 at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, located on 73rd Avenue and 188th Street.
